The HMI Application Checklist

Hope Medical Institute assists in administering an international program that helps medical students spend three and half years in a European medical school followed by two and half years of clinical rotations in Europe and the United States. This flexible program provides students with a diverse medical education that may be attractive to employers in Europe and the US. Students interested in Hope Medical Institute (HMI) programming can start by reviewing the HMI application checklist.

Individuals can find the HMI application at http://www.homemedicalinstitute.org. Applicants should include a pair of passport-size photos, each with the applicant’s name both signed and printed on the back, and two notarized copies of an actual passport page that shows the applicant’s date of birth. These items should be accompanied by the applicant’s birth certificate. The application must include two certificates, either originals or copies.

In addition, applicants must verify their high school education by having two copies of their high school diplomas and transcripts sent alongside their applications. The diplomas must be notarized, and the transcripts must be official and sent directly from the school. Additional requirements include an application fee; two signed academic letters of recommendation, and official or notarized SAT, ACT, MCAT, VCAT, and PCAT scores.

Lastly, applicants should ensure two official transcripts from their university reach HMI alongside other application materials. Like the high school transcripts, they must be sent to HMI directly from the institution.
